The Joining Process
Talk with Ken - he will answer your initial questions and help you see if CEC is a good fit for you and your family.
Visit CEC - after your initial conversation, we’ll invite your teen to spend a day at CEC, offering a chance to meet the other members and staff and to get a sense of how CEC works.
Fill out our Application - if your family feels like CEC is a good fit, the next step is to fill out our Member Application
Hear back - if space is available and we feel CEC is the right fit, we will offer a membership spot. If we are not the best fit, our staff can help direct you to educational options that better suit your family’s needs.
Tuition
We want Current to be a community that includes families with a range of financial realities. Tuition is offered on a sliding scale so the cost is shared in a way that supports a diverse and healthy community.
The standard tuition is $14,900 for the year. More details about the sliding scale are included in the application, and we regularly talk with families about what feels workable.
Families are welcome to join during the year, with tuition adjusted accordingly.
What being part of Current includes:
A dedicated mentor who meets regularly with each teen and stays alongside them as they explore work, interests, and next steps, including support with college, transitions, and life beyond Current.
A steady place to spend time together — classes, projects, conversation, field trips, workshops, and room to study or just be.
Support navigating Pennsylvania homeschool requirements.
